What changed in each version — written for pilots, not pulled from the repo.
A fix to zone filtering. A zone whose reservations only come down to the ground for part of the day could light up at slider settings where no single reservation actually applied. Time and altitude are now taken from the same reservation, and an entry with an unreadable date is treated conservatively — it can never hide a zone from the pilot.
The aerodrome card shows NOTAMs again — from a new, official FAA data source updated around the clock. You only see what is in force: expired NOTAMs and cancellation messages no longer clutter the list, and the card matches the NOTAM tab entry for entry. Validity dates now parse in every format they arrive in.
Every row in the aerodrome list and the fuel station list now has a pin. Tapping it closes the list and moves the map straight to that point.
The aerodrome list in the Direct target picker is now sorted alphabetically by name. It used to come out in an arbitrary order.
The data sources screen carries a clear warning: the note that the product is not intended for operational use is now red and impossible to miss.
In flight mode, a zone that becomes active within the next 30 minutes loses its colour and drops to black and white. Colour now says “is this zone live”, and dimming says “how much does it concern you”. Double-tap and the zone card counts down to activation instead of showing dates. The map refreshes zone appearance every few minutes, so the 30-minute window never goes stale between two glances.
Outside its hours, just an outline; within 30 minutes of opening, a dimmed fill; once open, full colour. ATZ appearance finally responds to the fill opacity slider as well, like every other zone.
The Fuel tab now opens a list of every station instead of a filter menu. Search by aerodrome code, name, supplier or fuel type. A supplier added to the database appears straight away, without an app update.
A point is inserted into a leg with a long press rather than a single tap — no more accidental waypoints while panning the map. Deleting a whole route asks for confirmation, and the route row shows its total length in nautical miles.
The weather service stopped accepting one of the query parameters, so current METARs were not reaching the app. The query has been corrected — the reports are back where they belong on the aerodrome card.
A vertical cross-section along the whole route: terrain, the zones the flight path passes through, and their altitudes. Two reference lines keep it readable — 500 ft above terrain, and MSA. A double tap opens the zones for that leg, and in flight mode the profile shows the aircraft's current position.
Type “EPWA”, “TSA” or “CTR” and you get suggestions plus highlighted matches on the map. While searching, the rest of the map goes grey — only what you cannot afford to lose sight of stays in colour: your route, SIGMETs and your own position. A zone hidden by filters does not silently disappear.
Waypoints and whole legs are dragged directly on the map. Tapping a leg shows its track and distance, and arrows along the line show the direction of flight. Tracks are magnetic, using the WMM 2025 declination model.
A planned route can be shared like any ordinary link — by text message, email or messenger. The recipient taps it, the app opens on that route and frames the map around it. No export, no files.
Terrain data can be downloaded in packs, so the route elevation profile works without a signal too. A simulator lets you fly the planned route without leaving the ground.
